UVM 2008

Musicians For Apes made their arrival at the University of Vermont on October, 17/2008. An invite was extended by way of their student club, STAR - Students for True Animal Rights. It was Musicians For Apes initial opportunity to entertain and speak at a University. Harry, along with friend and fellow musician Brendan Forrest, began the eve's event as a duo performance for the audience. A discussion of Great Apes used in entertainment and research immediately followed including Q and A's.

Speaking on behalf of those who can't.., opens minds, hearts and attitudes toward our closest and critically endangered relatives, the Great Apes. I am deeply honored and want to thank all who attended.

A sincere thank you to Dana and to All at STAR everywhere. Awareness and education are the key.

Benefit for Save The Chimps 2008

Benefit for Save The Chimps - Florida's Great Ape Sanctuary

Musicians For Apes 3rd annual benefit took place once again at The Falcon House, Nov 28 and 29th in Delray Beach, FL. Even though with today's economy, the showing of support and donations prevailed. Save The Chimps, like many other sanctuaries, relies much on public support. And support they got.

Thank you to Ted, Tim and all the staff at The Falcon House in sponsoring this year's event once again. To all who attended the weekend's event/performances, and to the familiar friendly faces, my hearts gratitude. Your support and generosity continues to aid sanctuaries like Save The Chimps helping shattered lives regain hope for a better life.

Thank you Mikey and staff of Save The Chimps who made the drive down to Delray for Saturday night's gig. Always an honor and pleasure to have you there. Above all, thank you to Dr. Noon and the entire staff whose days are endless caring for ALL the rescued lives residing at Save The Chimps. You're truly Incredible...

Jammin' For Knuckles 2007

Musicians For Apes second annual event took stage November 9 and 10th, 2007 in Florida at The Falcon House. Like last year’s benefit for Save the Chimps, this year’s once again showed compassion and caring from a concerned and enthusiastic audience.  We were "Jammin' For Knuckles" an year old boy chimpanzee with cerebral palsy living at the Center For Great Apes. Another of Florida's Great Ape Sanctuary. I believe the message carried of just how close our closest living relatives truly are.

Knuckles is indeed a very special being, a special person. His struggle with CP is like any other young boy with special needs. It's a privilege to know you and all the others at the Center, and to perform and speak on your behalf.

Thank you to ALL who came out and showed your support. Your kindness will never be forgotten and your generosity continues to help assist the Center For Great Apes.

To Ted, Tim and all at The Falcon House, thank you again for your continuing support. The artists, Doug and Chris, many thanks for contributing your inspiring art works. To Melanie, thank you for Jammin’ with us. Love and hugs to ALL at The Center for Great Apes…and thank you to the staff. You’re truly incredible people caring and helping shattered lives. Thank you Patti…

Remember to visit www.centerforgreatapes.org to learn more about Knuckles and all the Great Apes. They need our help and support.
